About
Welcome to El Fogon de Rodolfo, a gem nestled in the vibrant streets of Algarin, Cuauhtemoc, right in the heart of Ciudad de Mexico. This restaurant has quickly become a beloved spot for lovers of Argentine cuisine, beckoning with the promise of expertly grilled meats and a cozy ambiance adorned with photographs and football memorabilia that pays homage to the greats like Diego Armando Maradona.
From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a blend of sensational decor and the enticing aroma of grilled delights. The atmosphere strikes a balance between casual and refined, making it suitable for both family gatherings and more intimate dinners. Customers rave about the ambiance, although some have noticed an off-putting smell that could use attention. Nevertheless, the promise of quality food draws many in time and again.
Highlights of the menu include succulent cuts of meat that truly shine on the grill. The flank steak consistently comes highly recommended, with patrons noting its tenderness and flavor. Another standout is the barbecue ribs, often described as "delicious" and a must-try for anyone craving authentic Argentine barbecue. Beyond the meats, the accompanying sides like grilled onions complement the main dishes perfectly, enhancing the overall dining experience.
However, not every experience is flawless. Some guests have pointed out inconsistent service which can detract from the overall enjoyment. Despite this, the enthusiasm for the hearty meals often overshadows minor service issues. As one diner noted, a grill can serve up to four, making it a fantastic option for sharing and enjoying the meal together with friends or family.
El Fogon de Rodolfo may not feature the polished service of high-end steakhouses, but it compensates with its inviting environment and hearty portions that deliver great value. The prices are reasonable, making it accessible to a wide array of diners looking for an exceptional culinary experience without breaking the bank.
So, whether you’re a die-hard meat lover or simply in search of a lively atmosphere paired with delicious Argentine dishes, El Fogon de Rodolfo invites you to savor the rich flavors of its grill. Come discover why locals and visitors alike continue to fall in love with this enticing culinary destination.
“ Very nice place. It's not to expensive but you'll enjoy the quality of the food. See the latest price for your reference. ”
“ The decoration of the place is sensational but the whole business smells horrible and the service is terrible apart from the fact that the prices are just as expensive as a Sonora Grill Prime or a Cambalache... ”
“ Very good service and very delicious meat. If you don't eat a lot, the grill is enough for up to 4 people, I also recommend the onions :) the melted cheese not so much because they put it on a spread plate and you can't even serve it ”
“ Very good place to eat cuts and Argentine grills. A very nice place, surrounded by photographs and soccer shirts (basically Boca Juniors). Very good service and so is the food. They have valet parking service. The flank steak is highly recommended in this place. ”
“ I say the best place to eat Argentine food and Diego Armando MARADONA says it!!!! DELICIOUS TRULY. The best cut is the barbecue ribs ”
“ Very good service, the meat is always cooked to perfection, which is much appreciated. They have the typical Argentine grill dishes like empanadas, gravy, etc., but the roasted potatoes and onions are especially tasty. We're always short on space when we come here; the space is a bit cramped, but it's enough to enjoy a good meal. If you end up with room for dessert and don't have a problem with sugar, an alfajor is highly recommended. ”
“ Excellent place! ”
“ Great place!! The meat tastes really good, prices are not very expensive and the football mood is awesome!! Great for a game day!! ”
